We are proud to introduce two flagship programs that embody our commitment to sustainable and inclusive fashion: reFASHION and Enabled by Design.
Empowering Creativity and Inclusivity
re-FASHION Entrepreneurship Accelerator
re-FASHION is our pioneering initiative aimed at nurturing street fashion designers in Zimbabwe. This 6-week program, running from September 1 to October 20, 2024, provides a unique blend of entrepreneurship education and fashion expertise. Participants will gain invaluable skills in both creative and business aspects of the fashion industry, empowering them to turn their passion into a sustainable career.
Key highlights of the re- FASHION entrepreneurship accelerator:
- Entrepreneurship Training: Comprehensive workshops on business planning, marketing, and financial management tailored for fashion entrepreneurs.
- Fashion Design Mentorship: Guidance from industry experts to help participants create their own unique collections.
- Showcase Event: A grand fashion show at Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2024 where three designers will present collections of 10 looks each.
This program is delivered in partnership with EntreAcademy and Zimbabwe Fashion Week Trust
Enabled by Design
In line with our commitment to inclusivity, the PC Foundation is launching Enabled by Design, an initiative focused on empowering designers with disabilities. This program aims to break barriers and provide equal opportunities for talented individuals living with disabilities to shine in the fashion industry.
Key highlights of the Enabled by Design program:
- Tailored Training: Specialized workshops addressing the unique challenges and opportunities faced by designers with disabilities.
- Mentorship and Support: Personalized guidance from experienced mentors to help participants refine their skills and develop their collections.
- Showcase and Sales: A dedicated platform to present and sell their work, ensuring visibility and market access for their designs.
